Experience days make brilliant gifts for a whole host of reasons.
As gifts they are a safe bet as they are always unexpected, since it is an experience rather than a thing then you know they don't already have one, and if you book through one of the major merchants with their catalogues of a whole range of different experiences, then even if they secretly don't fancy the activity you chose for them, there is plenty of scope to trade it in for a completely different activity (although there may be a small administration fee for this depending on the merchant). Some merchants also have a range of physical gifts such as jewellery, hampers or creative gifts such as grow-your-own or make-your-own kits and it may be possible to trade in an activity for one or more of these. Apart from being a safe bet, experience days can also be enjoyable for couples and groups. There are many experiences which can be book for two or more people or as a group so you can enjoy the experience as well. Even where you buy a gift for one person, there is often scope to go along as a spectator and some products include secondary activities for spectators such as riding in the supercar being driven or a separate off-road passenger ride.

This site was set up with the express purpose of making it as easy as possible to browse, explore and locate the best value experience available. We compare products from the UK's major branded merchants like Red Letter Days and Virgin Experience Days, as well as some less well known companies like Activity Superstore (although you have probably seen their ‘boxed’ experiences on stands in a number of high-street stores) and even many specialist providers like Thruxton Motorsport and London Theatre Direct where they provide the opportunity to buy direct rather than through a merchant. These are all listed in tables without favour where you can get both an overview of the whole range of experiences available as well as zoom in on the particular products that meet your needs and price range.
These unique product tables allow you to see the whole range of experience days of a certain type (e.g. driving a Porsche or getting a massage) all on a single page. Without reloading the page you can sort and filter by price, supplier, the number of people the experience is for and other features so you can shrink and order the table to suit you. This allows you to make easy and direct comparison between similar experiences offered by different merchants, even though these products may have different names, different EAN numbers (barcodes) and so be completely unrelated products as far as most price comparison sites are concerned.
When you are using our site we also keep track of the products you have clicked on and mark these in the tables so you know what you've already looked at. We can even send you a list of these by email so you can have a permanent record of the set of experience days you might be interested in. Note that we don’t keep these lists or a copy of your e-mail address, this information is stored locally on your computer using a ‘cookie’ which expires after a few days in any case.
We also provide maps on every product page showing the locations where each experience day can be enjoyed. When you hover over the map with your mouse, a box pops-up where you can enter a postcode or town name. If you do this, all the product tables will have a new ‘distance’ column added so you can sort and filter by distance in miles to the nearest available venue.
We have specialist pages for off-peak, 2 for 1, and special offer experience days and we highlight these in all our tables, so you can see where the bargains are. Although we make a small commission from sales generated from this site, we don't sell directly and you have complete control over how products are listed in the tables so we can't steer you towards any particular supplier based on the commissions we received.

If the column header contains a pull-down list, you can use this to control which products are shown in the table.
Click on the arrow and then select the option from the list that you want to filter by.
To sort a column (e.g. to sort by price) click on the raised button containing the column title.
Click again to reverse the sorting order.
You can use the map at the top of the screen to filter by distance from a certain location. Just hover your mouse over the map and a box will pop-up allowing you to enter a postcode, town name etc.
Once you have entered this information, a new Distance column will be added to the table showing the number of miles from this 'from' location to the nearest venue where you can do each experience.
You can then use this Distance column to sort or filter the entries in the table.
Products are automatically added to this list when you click on them. They are then shown with a yellow background in the main table, so you know where you've been.
The list is stored on your PC in a 'cookie' (temporary storage) and expires after 2 days, but you can clear it using the 'clear all' button.
You can use the 'Send' button to get a copy of this list including product descriptions (like the example to the right) sent to your e-mail address. Please note that we do NOT keep a copy of your list OR a copy of your e-mail address.
