Borrowing it's drag-reducing, low profile and 'bug eye' headlamps, this unmistakeable vehicle was also a worthy successor to the Porsche 996 of the previous decade.
There are several variants and the one your most likely to encounter on a track racing day is probably the 977 turbo, so we will use this as the standard and mention that it's 3.5 litre twin-turbocharged engine produces 473 breake horse power giving acceleration from nought to sixty in an astonishing 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 193 miles per hour. If you are thiking of giving someone a Porsche experience day as a gift and wondering if this is enough for serious speed heads then check out the other marques available on this site but trust me - for speed, handling and looks then as far as I am concerned, this is the one!
